Visiting conditions at the monument remain unchanged.
ORANGE: Heatwave
Afternoon french guided tours may be cancelled (excluding groups).
RED: Extreme heatwave
French guided tours are cancelled (except for groups). We recommend visiting the castle early in the morning or late in the afternoon
Good to know
- The chapel, the kitchen, the fruit store and the ice house provide cool respite and natural shelter within the castle.
- A water spray bottle is available at the chateau in the event of a heatwave, upon request.
- In the event of an orange or red heat alert, it is exceptionally permitted to drink water within the castle on the stair landings.
- Plan your visit accordingly: aim to visit the chateau in the morning or late afternoon.
