Presentation
Situated in the heart of the Auxois-Morvan region, Château de Bussy-Rabutin is the perfect example of a stately home that has evolved over time.
The château's large outbuildings, park and garden provide the ideal setting for organising your private events: celebrations, cocktail parties, etc.
The Grands Communs room
The Grands Communs
The spacious, single-storey Salle du Grand Commun can accommodate up to 180 seated guests. Its whitewashed stone walls and exposed roof frame give it a chic country feel, while offering spacious accommodation.
Its terrace, bordering the park, overlooks the château's main courtyard. Its small, enclosed mezzanine room is ideal for children's naps or for creating a cloakroom or backstage area.
This is an ideal venue for refined receptions such as weddings, family ceremonies, dinners and cocktail parties.
The hall can be extended with the 100m2 of marquee space on the terrace. This additional space guarantees shelter whatever the weather.
Parks and gardens
A bucolic setting
On the parkland side, opposite the main hall and overlooking the château's main courtyard, the long avenues of lime trees and the grove of star-shaped hornbeam form an ensemble representative of 19th century English gardens. The long linden avenues provide natural shade for serving cocktails.
On the garden side, the terrace is made up of groves, small green rooms and square flowerbeds lined with boxwood and flowers. The small theatre of hornbeam hedges forms an exceptional natural setting for your ceremony in the shade of the trees.
For your wedding photos, the park and formal garden offer sumptuous views of this 17th century residence.
Once a wine cellar, the unique architecture of the ice house is similar to that of a cellar. Under its stone vault, 35 people can gather for a small, intimate ceremony.
