Pay attention
Last access to the monument, one hour before closing time.
Closed on 1 January, 1 May, 1November, 11 November and 25 December.
Prices
The individual chateau ticket gives you access to the entire monument and its grounds.
The individual park ticket only gives you access to the monument's park and garden.

Access and transport

By car
- A6 from Paris or Lyon, exit 23 then D980 to Semur-en-Auxois and D954 towards Venarey-les-laumes and Bussy-le-Grand.
- From Dijon, N71, then D6 and D954.
- Chateau of Bussy-Rabutin is located in the heart of the village of Bussy-le-Grand. A parking is located 150m from the reception.
- The castle does not have charging stations for electric cars : the nearest stations are on the Super U parking of Venarey-les-Laumes (8km) or in Baigneux-les-Juifs (10km).
By bike
The commune of Bussy-le-Grand is close to the cycle routes of the greenways of the Canal de Bourgogne. The monument has a bike rack near the ticket office. You can also leave some of your luggage at the monument reception desk. It is also possible to recharge your electric battery on request at the ticket office of the monument.
By train
The chateau of Bussy-Rabutin is partially accessible by train via two stops.
The TGV station of Montbard at 20km from the monument: it is then possible to go to the castle by bike (cycle path of the Canal de Bourgogne until Venarey-les-Laumes then departmental between Venarey-les-Laumes and Bussy-le-Grand) or by taxi.
The TER station of Laumes-Alesia (in Venarey-les-Laumes) at 8km from the monument: it is then possible to go to the castle by bike (electric bike rental at Super U de Venarey-les-Laumes or at the tourist office) or by taxi.

Visiting conditions
- Duration of the visit: 1h30.
- Dogs allowed in the château in a carrier bag or held in the arms; kept on a lead in the grounds.
- Pushchairs allowed in the park.
- Pushchairs are not allowed in the castle rooms; the use of a baby carrier is strongly recommended.
- Scooters, bicycles and other cycles are not permitted on the estate.
- It is forbidden to smoke and vape within the grounds of the estate.
- Photos are permitted in the chateau without flash.
Services
- Visit document available in French, English, German, Dutch, Italian and Spanish.
- Bicycle hoops on the right side of the entrance porch of the monument. It is possible to recharge your bike battery at the reception on simple request.
- A relaxation area is accessible near the reception : garden tables are available to visitors. It is possible to picnic or taste at this place during the opening hours of the monument. Baby bottles can also be reheated upon request at the reception.
- it offers among others books on the history of the monument, biographies, works by Roger de Bussy-Rabutin, youth books, jewelry, stationery, toys and regional products (anise, gingerbread, mustard). Some cold drinks are also on sale.
Disabled
- Guide and/or assistance dogs are allowed in the castle.
Motor disability
- No PMR parking space near the entrance of the monument; possibility to park in the personal car park (30m).
- Drop-off in front of the monument entrance.
- Outdoor flooring (gravel) poorly adapted to wheelchair traffic and access on slopes.
- A lift allows access to the first floor of the monument: its access is carried out with the help of an agent.
Hearing disability
The castle provides you with LSF devices and interactive terminals in the two introductory rooms for the visit.
Visually impaired
- Tactile and sound devices are accessible in the first introductory room to the visit: (relief portraits of Count Roger of Rabutin, his mistress Madame of Montglas, coat of arms of the counts of Sarcus, Renaissance frieze; relief model and braille castle; audio terminals).
